  • Notes
    • The Day family were early settlers of Morris Co. NJ having gone there from Newark, NJ. The first members of the family came from England and formed part of the Milford and Hanford colonies of CT. From CT a small band of colonists moved into NJ about the middle of the 17th century and found the city of Newark. The ancestors of Silas Day were among those early settlers of Newark.
