• Notes

  Richard was freeman 4 Mar 1635. In 1636 he removed with Rev. Thomas Hooker and Governor Haynes to Hartford. He was an original proprietor and one of the earliest settlers. Captain of the first troop in the Colony. Representative 1657 to 1661, and is named in the Union Charter of 1662, but before it was brought over, he died at New London in his 51st year. [5]
