- Another source (American Marriage Records before 1699) gives their date of marriage as 06-Jan-1634. He came in the Mayflower 1620, a London youth in the service of Stephen Hopkins and was one of the signers of the solemn compact in Cape Cod Harbor 11 Nov 1620 and was with his master in the shallop that in December 1620 discovered Plymouth harbor, yet 18 Jun 1621 he was party in the first duel fought in New England.
