Notes |
- Richard probably came to Massachusetts in the fleet with Winthrop, for he required administration as freeman 19 Oct 1630, yet did not after take the oath but removed from Weymouth to Plymouth, and was recorded as freeman of that Colony 4 Oct 1632. He was engaged as a carpenter in building the earliest church ediface at Plymouth. He served in the Pequot War. He sold his estate at Plymouth in 1649, and was at Charlestown 1653, and for final residence sat down at Hingham.
Another source lists his parents as Richard Church and Alice Vassell. [2, 6]
