- David received his appointment as missionary and traveling with his 2 sons, John and Benjamin, and John's wife, he went to Fort Wayne, IN, his sons having received appointments to labor as missionaries among the Indians. He returned from the mission to Delaware, and died soon afterward, much lamented as a man of energy and piety.
