  Thurston came in the Elizabeth 1634 from Ipswich, County Suffolk, England, aged 40, with wife Elizabeth, 36, Thurston, 13, Joseph, 11, Elizabeth, 9, Sarah, 7, and Lydia, 1. He was Representative 1638 to 1640. He removed to Stamford in 1641, and there had commission from New Haven jurisdiction but in few years he removed to Southampton, Long Island, under Connecticut, and was an Assistant 1661 and 1663.
