      Notice

HILL, Gordon Yemen August 5, 1936 - September 25, 2003 Gordon passed away on September 25, 2003 at the age of 67 years after a brave fight with lung cancer. Supporting him in this journey was his family and friends. Gordon was born in Wapella, Saskatchewan, the youngest of four boys. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Jean Hill; and his brothers, Robert John and Malcolm Ross. Gordon is survived by his oldest brother, John Allan (Jackie); and Betty Lawrence, his friend and loving partner. He will be missed by his six children, Diane (Nelson) Kitchen, Audrey (Dean) Ferro, Joan (Brian) Chambers, Larry (Laura) Hill, Maury (Chrissy) Hill and Becky (Bill) Palmer. He is also survived by Rose Marie Hill, mother to their six children. Grandpa Gordon leaves behind 12 grandchildren - Adam, Cody, Joshua, Georgia, Alexandra, Shelby, Sam, Elizabeth, Parker, Tanner, Jessica and Matthew. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. The family will be holding a private memorial. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend. And still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you, And he whispered "come with Me". So when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful, free from pain, We could not wish you back,To suffer that again. We love you. Hainstock's Funeral Home. 440-2999.
