Notes

William probably came in the Mary and John in 1630 was of Porlock, Somerset shire, on Bristol channel, few miles from the edge of Devon. He was Representative at the first General Court of Massachusetts 1634, and Selectman 1634 and 1635, and went next year with Warham to Windsor. He was the earliest Assistant 1636-1642, and a Representative 1645-1657, Assistant again 1658-1662, but not under the new Charter. [6]
