| Notes |
- He left Suffield, CT for New York City from where he sailed 4-Feb-1846 for CA aboard the "Brooklyn". After a 6-month voyage around Cape Horn, he landed at Yerba Buena (San Francisco), worked the gold fields at Mormon Island on the American River after gold was discovered in 1849. With the arrival of the Mormons at the Great Salt Lake, UT, he travelled east across the Sierra Nevada eventually settling at Farmington, UT. After his 1st marriage in Centerville, UT he next settled at Paris, UT eventually moving to Liberty, ID.
