Obituary
SORSDAHL
Leona Catherine Sorsdahl (nee Fritz), passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; her parents; 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Leona is lovingly survived by her children: Lyle (Helen), Sharon (Lyle) Greiner, Neil (Leslie), Rodger (Shirley), and Russell; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews to whom she is affectionately known as Auntie Onie. Leona was born in Shaunavon, SK and later moved to Coronach, SK where she met and married her husband in 1936. She and Harold lived and worked in several communities in Southern Saskatchewan while raising their family. In their later years they moved to the Maple Creek area, finally settling in Cypress Hills Provincial Park where they worked until their retirement. She and Harold were avid card players, dancers and bowlers. After Harold's passing, Leona continued to reside in Moose Jaw until October 2011, when she moved to Regina to be closer to family. She will be sorrowfully missed by those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Leona's Life will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane, Moose Jaw, SK. Flowers are gratefully declined.
