    • George died of cancer. George was in the army from 04-Dec-1863 Co. I 1st VT CAL until 06-Mar-1865 when, for unknown reasons, he deserted and went to Barnston, Canada where he lived for many years. "Uncle George" as he was known, lived in N. Troy, VT. He ran a small machine shop in S. Troy, VT for many years.
