• Notes

  The obituary reported that EMMA said she would gladly live to help her mother in the care of the children, but she believed she was going to a better home. She made arrangements for her own funeral, and after singing a Sunday School hymn and kissing the family goodbye, said "the angels are coming for me", and folding her hands on her bosom fell asleep.
