- The obituary reported that NELLIE requested baptism on the day EMMA was buried, 2 days before her own departure and received into the communion of the church. After sending messages to her pastor, to her Sunday School teachers and to the classmates and members of the school, she quietly resigned herself into the hands of her Savior and died. ABRAM, EMMA and NELLIE often walked the 2 miles and it was very stormy weather that kept them at home. They attended also the Sabbath School at Kent Town in the afternoon and often went without their dinner rather than be absent.
