FRITZ, Jerome Peter - Jerry Fritz, 74, best known as ?Earp? to his family and friends, passed away November 6 in Chepstow at his home surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend of 44 years, Patricia (nee Powers). Loving father to Kevin of Hanover, Karen (Grant MacEachern) of Toronto, Shelagh (David Colyer) of San Francisco and Eric (Dara McAdams) of Devlin. Proud Papa of Tristan, Blake, Riley, Lexi, Rhev, Talon and Kenzie. Born on May 5, 1940 to the late Ambrose and Margaret (nee Graf) and predeceased by siblings Margaret, Thecla, Mary, Joe and Bernie. He is survived by siblings Agnes, Bill, Tom, Carl, Helen, Doris, Rob, Patrick, David, Fred and John. Jerry was a Bruce County man at heart, however he moved away from Chepstow as a young man and worked for the City of Kitchener for 12 years. He would later marry the girl next door, Patsy, whose family lived across the road when they were children. Jerry and Patsy lived in Kitchener and stayed for the birth of their first two children. Jerry was a trained welder and was keen to start his own welding shop, so they moved back to Chepstow to build their home, welding shop and raised their family on a beautiful riverside property. Jerry was gifted with the ability to design and build anything without blueprints. He was always quick with a joke, even through his tough fight with cancer. We say goodbye to our dear husband, Dad, Papa, brother, friend, welder, campfire builder, wood splitter, tractor lover, gin rummy genius, hunter and all around good guy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Friends may call at CAMERON FUNERAL HOME , 1106 Yonge Street South, Walkerton, Ontario on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 ? 9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow at 11:00 a.m. Rev.
