- Automaker. He was the producer of Bicycles and the originator and manufacturer of the famous Pierce-Arrow automobile. Pierce introduced his "Motorette" at the Pan-American Exposition in 1901. The Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Co. was officially launched in 1907. [1]
