  • Notes
    • Nathaniel was probably the first male of this distinguished family born on our side of the ocean, a freeman 1665, Representative 1666, and 1668 to 1671, an Assistant 1679 and until 1686. He was named Judge of the Supreme Court in 1692, when he refused participation in the monstrous trials for witchcraft leaving his seat to be occupied by Jonathan Corwin, brother of the Sheriff who was called to hang som many innocent victims.
