- Another Parke source gives his birth place as Semer, Suffolk, England. Robert was an English baronet. He came to America from England in the ship Arabella in 1630 as secretary to John Winthrop. He moved to Wethersfield in 1639. Moved to Pequot (now New London) CT before moving to Mystic (now Stonington) CT in 1649. He was Deputy to the General Court and was a selectman. Served in the colonial forces. [3]
