- Frederick enlisted in the Revolutionary Army from Rhode Island on Oct 1777 in Captain Abner Robinson's Company. In 1780 he was a Lieutenant of Dragoons in a Connecticut company of Nathaniel Wells of Windham. On 10 Dec 1780 Captain Wells and Frederick were taken prisoners by the British at Horseneck. [1]
