  After their marriage, Daisy and William resided at Rutland, where William engaged in the grocery business before moving to Charlotte, VT. He then formed a partnership with O.T. Briggs - "Briggs & Trowbridge" dealers in bicycles and electrical supplies at Waterbury, NY. In 1904 they moved to Springfield, MA where he assumed the position of secretary of the YMCA.
