Notes |
- Morris's daughter Jean remembers her father as a "self-made" man, despite the fact he had very little formal education. He had a wonderful personality and always gave encouragement, when asked for, especially to his grandchildren Mark, Nancy and Judy. He was a father to his great-grandson, Bret T. Abbott, who came from a single parent home. Morris was so very proud of his grandson Mark Edward Clasen. His support and encourgement was the driving force behind Mark's M.D. and Ph.D.
Morris Day in his early years farmed seven miles east of Clinton, MN
Morris' obituary states that Morris, aged 94, lived in the Careview Nursing Home. He was a long-time employee of the Peavey Co. He was a WWI veteran. His internment was in the Ft. Snelling National cemetery.
